Season 2’s Biggest Upgrade: How to Transform Violet into a UR Hero

Season 2 is here, bringing a wave of fresh rewards and events that crank up the excitement of Last War Survival. But what has everyone talking is the Week 3 feature that lets you upgrade Violet from SSR to UR rarity, just like Mason’s epic transformation in Season 1. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the upgrade process, compare Violet’s stats before and after, and explain why this change is a game-changer.
Why Violet Shines in Season 2
Violet isn’t just any SSR hero—she’s a powerhouse. Her third skill stands out by reducing damage from zombies and Doom Elite Giants. In Season 2, she gets even better with an extra 5% damage reduction and a Frost Buff that benefits your whole team, which is critical now that monsters are tougher than ever. Pair her with Murphy, who has the same buff, and your team enjoys a total of 10% damage reduction.
Her second skill is equally impressive, hitting two front-row units with massive physical damage and reducing their attack. This applies to both physical and energy-based enemies, giving your team’s top attackers a chance to land bigger hits. With this, Violet proves herself to be a versatile hero perfect for all battle types.
How to Upgrade Violet to UR
Week 3 of Season 2 unlocks the ability to upgrade Violet to UR rarity. To do this, you need to have Violet at 5 stars and possess a Legendary Hero Badge. If you didn’t use the badge from Season 1, you can grab a new one from the individual goals page in Season 2 after upgrading your blast furnace to level 30.
Pro tip: Start collecting Violet shards from the Alliance Store as early as possible. Every Monday, the store resets, and you can grab 30 Violet shards for 30,000 Alliance Contribution Points. I missed out on the first two weeks and ended up with only 60 shards—but had I been quicker, Violet would be UR by now! Other than the store, you can earn Violet SSR shards through the individual goals page. For example, upgrading your blast furnace rewards shards: 10 shards for levels 1-19, 20 for levels 21-24, and 30 for levels 26-29. You can also score shards after Blizzard events, with more shards rewarded for higher levels.
Comparing SSR Violet vs. UR Violet
Let’s dive into the difference between SSR and UR Violet. I’ll be using a 4-star SSR Violet for comparison, though I’ll mention the 5-star bonuses too.
- First Skill: SSR Violet offers a 200% physical damage bonus at 4 stars, which jumps to 280% at 5 stars. UR Violet boosts this to a whopping 491%, with the same star bonuses.
- Second Skill: SSR Violet delivers a 400% damage bonus at 4 stars, increasing to 540% at 5 stars. UR Violet crushes this with an astonishing 1,181% damage bonus, and her damage reduction lasts for 10 seconds, keeping your enemies weakened for longer.
- Third Skill: SSR Violet reduces monster damage by 34%, while UR Violet ups that to 37% and adds a 20% reduction for all types of damage. This makes her ideal for both PVE and PVP battles.
- Fourth Skill: SSR Violet boosts her HP attack and defense by 10%, while UR Violet doubles that to 20%, and her skill cooldown is reduced by 10%.
Should You Upgrade Violet to UR?
The answer is a resounding yes. Her upgraded skills make her a must-have for any serious player. Have you already upgraded Violet, or are you planning to? Drop a comment and let us know! Also, be sure to check out our other guides and tips for Season 2 of Last War Survival. Thanks for reading!
